Audition Information
Debut is NOT a graded comp. Entry is open to all Australian permanent resident or citizens, must be 18 years or older at the time of the competition.
Style of competition- Performance. We are open to all styles and genres, but criteria will be weighted towards performance and entertainment value.
Auditions for Debut Pole 2025

Auditionees will be notified by email by if they are unsuccessful and successful competitors will be announced Fri 29th November
Please ensure you fill in the whole form.
You will be required to attach a video link of your audition routine and a picture of yourself (preferably on the pole, in portrait/upright format)
Groups, please ensure you are all in all photos (collages are acceptable)
Groups please ensure you fill in all participants names on the entry form.
Entry fees are $20 per application (if you enter more than one section, {solo and groups}, you will be required to submit separate entries and pay both entry fees.
Only one entry fee of $20 required per “group” entry.
Sections: If you are unsure which section you should enter, please contact us prior to submitting your audition. Please note that we will be checking your social media, previous history and with your studio to confirm your level.
You are welcome to enter multiple sections (ie, solo and/or groups and/or dance) but please not, to allow as many people the opportunity to be on stage, entrants will only be selected for one section, at organisers discretion.
Groups may enter the section of their most advanced participant, EG. If you have 3 performers, one is beginner, one is inter and one is adv, you will need to enter your group into the Adv section.
Audition videos:
Must be Less than 2 minutes long (Videos longer than 2 minutes are allowed to be submitted but judging panel will cease watching at 2 minutes)
One full routine, no show reels or edits. (Professional Stage Videography edits are permitted)
It does not have to be the show you will perform on the night but should reflect the style you will compete. (If you plan to compete in heels, your audition should be in heels, etc)
Auditions will be judged against the live show criteria so please ensure you have a costume, theme, props, or anything else needed to portray your awesome show.
What we’re looking for:
A great show!
Facial expressions, performance value, X-Factor!
Listening to and responsiveness to music, picking up accents and changes. Suitable tricks and choreography.
Pointed toes and Stretched legs.
Smooth transitions on and around the pole, in tricks and choreography.
Variety of movement, interesting choreography and tricks, no repetition.
Clean and strong, tricks and combos.
Stamina
Etc.
Video entries may be submitted by link to Youtube, Vimeo, OneDrive or Dropbox. Videos must remain available for viewing for up to 1 month after auditions close.
Only completed entries, with full payment received, will be eligible for judging and selection.
No entries will be accepted after the closing.
Feedback will be given to any unsuccessful auditionee who requests it. (Please be mindful, this may take some time if we receive many requests)
Checklist:
-Form completed in full.
-1 apparatus picture in portrait layout. (upright pic of you on your apparatus)
-Payment made, proof provided.
-Video entry link supplied.
