Entry is open to all Australian permanent resident or citizens, must be 18 years or older at the time of the competition.
Style of competition- Performance. We are open to all styles and genres, criteria is weighted towards performance and entertainment value.

Groups may have one or two apparatus. Multiple apparatus will be set approx 5m apart.

We will be taking the following minimum amount of competitors per section.
Beginner comp x8
Inter comp x8
Adv comp x8
Show x4 (this is a performance opportunity for those wanting to perform but not compete)
Groups (2-4 people) x5
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Facial expressions, performance value, X-Factor!
Listening to and responsiveness to music, picking up accents and changes. Suitable tricks and choreography.
Smooth transitions on and around the apparatus, in tricks and choreography.
Variety of movement, interesting choreography and tricks, no repetition.
Clean and strong, tricks and combos.
Pointed toes and Stretched legs.
Stamina.
Etc.
IF SUCCESSFUL
If you are successful in your audition, you will be invited to compete in our competition.
There is a competitor fee.
You will be supplied with social media advertising and promotions.
You will be required to attend your rehearsal and competitor briefing at the theatre on the day of the competition, so must be available from approximately 12pm and must remain until the end of the competition, approximately 11pm.
IF UNSUCCESSFUL
If your audition is unsuccessful, you will be sent feedback (if requested) on your audition, to help you prepare for future auditions and competitions.
LIVE COMPETITION
Apparatus competitors will be required to bring their own apparatus to the competition
Props are allowed (all props must be able to be brought on and off stage in under 1 minute by 2 or less people) but must be approved by the organiser prior to the event date.
Human props are allowed but must not be on stage for more than half of your routine and must not use the apparatus or be involved in tricks.
Costumes must be modest and not include g-strings, nudity/partial nudity, or pasties. Removing clothing is allowed as long as modesty and above rules are maintained.
Songs All competitors will have a time allowance of 3 minutes. Songs must not contain Excess profanity, the occasional swear word is permitted but excessive bad language must be removed. No slanderous or derogatory songs will be allowed.
All music must be submitted for approval prior to the competition and is on a first come first served basis. You will need to send in your song for request asap. We will not allow 2 competitors with the same song (even across different sections and this includes remixes as well) Whoever requested the song first will get to keep the song, any requests after this will be asked to change. Final edits of music are due a month prior to the competition.
BEGINNER SECTION
Competitors in this section must never have won any beginner or higher level solo sections of their chosen apparatus in any state or national competition (In-Studio comps excluded)
Beginners must not do any:
Aerial inverting or aerial combos
Drops Or Flips
Continuous rolls
Extreme flex moves
Unassisted: elbow/forearm/ head/handstands
Walkovers & Saults -Gymnastic skills.
Perform skills on rigging rope or strap
Must not be a pole/aerials instructor or paid aerial performer
INTERMEDIATE SECTION
Competitors in this section must never have won any intermediate or higher level solo sections of their chosen apparatus in any state or national competition (In-Studio comps excluded)
Inter must not do any:
Full body release drops Or 360 Flips
Continuous rolls
Extreme flex moves
Perform skills on rigging rope or strap
Must not be a pole/aerials instructor or paid aerial performer
ADVANCED SECTION
Competitors in this section must never have won any advanced or higher level solo sections of their chosen apparatus in any state or national competition (In-Studio comps excluded) Competitors must not be considered as, or have competed in any Semi pro or Pro competitions.
Advanced must not do any:
Perform skills on rigging rope or strap
Must not be a paid aerial performer
If you have advanced level training and skills in another apparatus, you may be required to compete in this section.
GROUPS SECTION
Competitors in this section must never have won any group sections of their chosen apparatus in any state or national competition (In-Studio comps excluded)
Competitors must not be considered Semi-Pro or Pro in solo sections.
Groups must not do any:
Perform skills on rigging rope or strap
Must not be a paid aerial performer
No more than 2 people on the apparatus at any one time.
SHOW SECTION
This is an open level, performance opportunity. No judging, just a big stage, a captive audience and whatever creative story, theme, or performance your heart desires.
